New Communication System 

Mt. Carmel Church family we have the new communication system for sending text messages and emails Is now up and running you should have received our weekly email bulletin early last week. When we send out a text message to your phone it will look like this and ask you to respond by texting “Start”, to accept text messages from the church. The church phone # is 317-890-2740.

Making Disciples for Christ

Mt. Carmel family thank you for signing up for our Making Disciples for Christ program. This program consists of four components: Out-Reach, Up-Reach, In-Reach, and Cross-Reach. We want to provide you with the goal of each component so you can select the one that most fits your gift or personality.

Out-reach – To encourage the broader Mount Carmel community to be engaged in the Mount Carmel Church by creating a welcoming space and an inviting environment.

Up-Reach – To provide spiritual and social support to members by encouraging and challenging members to participate in the life of the church.

In-Reach – To inform Mount Carmel Church members of our ministries and to encourage involvement through personal connection. To help guide members based on their gifts, talents, and interests.

Cross-Reach – To sustain membership through counseling by helping members navigate conflict and ensuring their needs for love, belonging, and esteem are being met.

We hope this helps you in selecting a component to be a part of, as we a congregation of His people intentionally do what Jesus has instructed us to do in Matthew 28:19.

MCC Study Group (Sunday School)

Men of the Mount gather for MCC Study Group at 8:45a in the small conference room. This class is facilitated by Bro. Marcus Stowe and Deacon Orlando Chamberlain. We are currently studying Kindgom Disciples by Tony Evans. We invite all men to join us as we grow closer to Christ through discipleship.

MCC Study Group (Sunday School)

Sisters of Deborah is an engaging class for women to connect with one another and with the Word. This is a dynamic class led by Sis. Tribble, Sis. Montgomery, and Sis. Jefferson. We invite our sisters to join us for deeper study of both being and making disciples.

MCY

Our youth department, MCY, is in great need of volunteers. We have a lot planned this year for youth Sunday School, Children’s Church and Turn up Tuesday. In order for our youth to grow and develop in an engaging environment, we need your help! Women’s Ministry

Women of the Mount as we continue to reconnect, please plan to attend our fellowship meeting held the 2nd Saturday of each month (January 13 ) at 10 am in the Intake Room, enter door 10 near Burwood Street.

 Men’s Ministry

Men of the Mount! Shout out to our awesome facilitator of  Chapter One, “ BECOMING A FAITHFUL MAN” we are learned what it means to measure up to the full stature of Christ, in Paul’s letter to Timothy and Titus there’s a list of Spiritual Qualifications, such as, Not quick tempered, gentle, above reproach, devout, just name a few which will help us on our journey to Becoming a Faithful Man. Signs of Praise

Rehearsal for Signs of Praise will be on the 1st Sunday of each month. We welcome old and new members to this ministry. Anyone interested in praising God through music, dance, and sign language?  Prior ASL experience is not required.

Youth Church

Hey, parents Youth Church is every 2nd and 4th Sunday at 10 am, be sure to bring your children, grandchildren, family, and neighbors.

Mt. Carmel Nursery

The Nursery is open, If you have a child between the age of 1 – 4 years of age this service will be available to you at 10 am service.  Also, Children’s church is on the 2nd Sunday and 4th Sunday of each month. We Are in need of volunteers for both. Please contact Angela Grace at angelagrace@mtcarmelindy.org if you are interested.

Food Pantry

Please make donations of non-expired, non-perishable food items.  Place your donations in the large pantry containers that are located at the North, South, and main entrance. Your community needs your help! Our thanks to everyone for their continued support.

IU Health/Mt. Carmel Care Touch 

Mt. Carmel is partnering with IU Health to engage those who are experiencing social isolation.  The Care Touch program comes alongside to help IU Health patients and Mt. Carmel’s members listen to their concerns, gain access to community resources, networks, and navigate systems.  Training is provided by IU Health and will be conducting another training in the coming weeks.
